Our own mountain hut


From the end of June to mid-September or Tofereralm is open to the public. It is beautifully located at an altitude of 1.816 m surrounded by scented alpine meadows and blooming alpine roses. Our cows love the summer pasture. Alpine butter and cheese are made daily and we spoil walkers with a hearty alpine snack.

Just in the mountains, right next to me.

Try our mild, smoked bacon, the fresh farmer’s bread and our homemade schnaps. All regional delicacies. You can purchase our tasty, homemade produce to take home too.


Drive by car or take the bus to the Angertal. There is plenty of parking available. Head gently uphill towards the Waldgasthof. Carry on along a flat forest track for about 1 km alongside a gentle stream, until you come to a fork. Keep to the right and follow the gently climbing path up to the Gadaunerer Hochalm.

Total walking time: approx. 2 hours, altitude difference: approx. 600 m
